Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problems. There are no age or education requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem.
Al‑Anon is a mutual support program for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. By sharing common experiences and applying the Al-Anon principles, families and friends of alcoholics can bring positive changes to their individual situations, whether or not the alcoholic admits the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help.
No! You just need to come- no registering necessary and we will welcome you with open arms. No judgements because we’ve all been in the tough spots!
No! It doesn't cost anything to attend AA or Al-Anon meetings.
OPEN meetings are available to anyone interested in Alcoholics Anonymous' program of recovery from alcoholism or Al-Anon's program of helping people affected by the disease of alcoholism. Nonalcoholics may attend open AA meetings as observers.
CLOSED AA meetings are for AA members only or for those who have a drinking problem and have a desire to stop drinking. CLOSED Al-Anon meetings are for families and friends who have been affected by the disease of alcoholism.
AA and Al-Anon are VERY careful about keeping who is at the meetings and what is said at the meetings anonymous. That is very comforting!
